About Anne Nilsson

I grew up in Honolulu, and went to college in Boulder at the University of Colorado, earning a B.S. in Journalism with a double emphasis in Advertising and Marketing. I’ve been fortunate to live in many world-class cities, like Seattle, Boston, London, and even briefly in Tel Aviv and Aix-en-Provence in southern France. Each seemed more like a gigantic neighborhood, made up of a series of walkable villages, which allowed me to work and play close to home. When I chose Nashville in 2000, I was drawn to similar “urban suburban” neighborhoods and have been discovering their unique quality of life ever since. My family now includes three children; a daughter, who graduated from University School of Nashville, and 13-year-old boy/girl twins who go to JT Moore Middle. We live in Belmont/12South, which we LOVE, because it’s a place where you can have a dog and kids and a yard – and still get to dinner in the Gulch in five minutes, and be in your symphony seat ten minutes after that!

The city neighborhoods of Sylvan Park, Hillsboro/West End, Belmont/12South, as well as Germantown and East Nashville are some of my favorites, because your whole life can unfold right outside your door: amazing restaurants, art and music and sport venues, coffeehouses, great schools, and one-of-a-kind shops, with parks and greenways within easy reach. My first home in Nashville was in Green Hills, so I have a soft spot, too, for the surrounding close-in communities of Belle Meade, West Meade, Hillwood, Oak Hill, and Forest Hills.

Since 2012, I’ve been involved in the purchase, marketing, and negotiation of transactions with a market value of over $40 million. I’ve worked with families, medical students, CEOs, investors, and everyone in between. Whether you’re looking to buy your first house or your fifth, identify an investment property, or sell a multi-million dollar dream home, my approach remains the same: I see my role as your advisor and advocate. You can count on me to be a straight-shooter, innovative marketer, astute negotiator, and creative problem-solver.

I seek every chance to leverage my experience and professional network in ways that will benefit my client. I have a multi-discipline background in banking, advertising, and corporate communications that combines the core components of every real estate transaction. And my drive to generate win-win outcomes has earned me solid working relationships with my industry peers, as well as other partners-in-the-process, i.e., mortgage lenders, home inspectors, closing attorneys, and contractors. I am a member of the National Association of Realtors, Tennessee Association of Realtors, Greater Nashville Association of Realtors, Real Estate Investors of Nashville, Nashville Civic Design Center, and Greenways for Nashville.

Nashville is a truly special place, said to be as far south as Northerners want to go and as far north as Southerners want to go; and it’s within 500 miles of 60% of the U.S. population (!), so travel is easy. Nashville’s big city culture and small town warmth draw artists, industry, and entrepreneurs to its rich and relaxed way of life. It’s a friendly, generous, inclusive, and growing community with a great story, one that’s made better with the addition of each new resident.
